Federal rules do not put an end date on written consent. The 2024 warnings that consents would expire in January 2025 were tied to the one to one rule, which a court threw out. Old leads still go stale in another way: phone numbers change.
What matters is that you can prove the consent: the site, the date and the words the person agreed to. Keep that record for every lead you buy.
How you dial also matters. Since Facebook v. Duguid in 2021, equipment only counts as an autodialer if it uses a random or sequential number generator.
Some states have their own rules and some lawyers advise refreshing consent on very old leads. This is a summary, not legal advice.
Updated October 2026. Market prices are list prices from public seller pages. Results depend on your firm. Not every lead becomes a case.
